Is Our Planet the Cess Pit of the Universe?
I'm going to start my first blog in a rather unconventional way and say right from the start that I believe in Alien Life Forms. Whether it's the concept of little green men from Mars, or an Interplanetary highly advanced species. To me, it seems it's a highly plausible concept that alien life must exist when you think about how many billions of galaxies and planets are out there in the known universe.
The logical side of my brain tells me that it doesn't make sense that we should be the only asteroid capable of having a biological life form. If "God" created the heavens and the earth in seven days, then what did he do in the weeks that followed? Of course, evolution tells us that it took many millions of years for life on earth to form, so why couldn't it have done so in different parts of the galaxy too? But by asking this question, it rather neatly leads me on to the next one which is; If there are other intelligent civilisations out there, then are we on planet Earth the cess pit of the universe?
To my knowledge, there have only ever been three recorded days of true global piece in the entire history of this planet. Let that one just sink in for a moment... just three days in the entire history of mankind has there ever been true global peace across this third rock from the sun that we call our home. Plant life, the animal kingdom and human beings have all fought one way or another against each other on a daily basis. And for what? To show superiority of one form over another - or to survive and keep on going, in the hope of continuing the gene pool which will ultimately lead to further death and destruction?
Of course, we don't really know (officially) whether aliens are a real thing, and that lifeforms on different planets do actually exist. We do know there's been countless witness statements of people who claim they've seen UFO's, with some saying they've been butt probed, whilst others claim to have carried an alien's baby. Naturally, the vast majority of the claims can be easily dismissed through technological advancement in detection equipment, and rational or logical explanations. But what about that small percentage that do slip through the net which can't be explained? If aliens do exist and they are better at life than us, they how do they perceive us when monitoring our Radio and TV channels? Do they take a look at humanity and say, what have they done to themselves? Or do they say to other species, "steer clear of this one guys, they're all mad down there on planet Earth"?
Either way, it seems to me at least, that in light of recent global events and the ever continuing news reports, we are on a very significant path to self-destruction. The notion of imploding in on ourselves is quite real, and lessons of the past don't seem to matter to those in charge. I for one would love to be able to live in a peaceful and harmonious environment, whether it's here on our planet - or on another one instead. I don't want to die some horrible death such as having the effects of radiation poisoning. Nor would I want that to happen to anyone else. But I fear that this may soon become a reality. If the leaders of this world with their bigoted, narcissistic and narrow minded attitudes get their own way, then the chances are we're not going to be here for much longer. Hopefully it won't come to this and the people of our once beautiful planet will be able to breathe again in a sigh of relief. Either way, I do wonder if other intelligent life does exist in the universe, and if so, can I get a one way ticket outta here please and live the rest of my days without fear of what may come around the corner?
Peace be with you all - including the one's who think they know better...
